I was privileged to attend to attend the Remembrance Sunday service yesterday at Swadlincote Memorial Gates. In its 100th year, I want to thank the Royal British Legion for its support of our ex-service community.
For a number of years we have been working to secure a new bridge in Walton to reduce congestion and noise pollution for local residents. I am delighted that this has now finally been secured and work is due to begin this September, subject to final planning approval.
