I wanted to share this great local project with you all. Church Broughton Tennis Club contacted me and are hoping to raise £20,000 through crowd funding for a new clubhouse.
Church Broughton is a long established L.T.A. accredited Club with over 200 members. Their outdoor facilities at Bent Lane consist of 3 floodlit tarmac tennis courts a single unlit tarmac court with extra hitting wall and a Padel Tennis Court, which the Club kindly invited me to open.
Their planning application for the new clubhouse was approved in March but unfortunately there are few funding opportunities available for this project. They have since launched a Crowdfunding campaign and hopefully will receive £8000 to match funding from Sport England if they reach their target.
